Welcome to the world of fancy color diamonds

Colors are seen slightly different in every person’s eyes. In the case of fancy color diamonds, there are many cases where the central color and other shades are exquisitely combined to express beautiful colors. It is interestingly said that there is a difference between the colors seen by the blue-eyed people and the Japanese people.
I would be delighted if you could experience seeing it with your own eyes.

I hope that I can help spread the world of fancy color diamonds for everyone. I do believe that having opportunities in buying gemstones cannot be missed.
Diamonds are probably the first gem that comes to the mind of many people.
When we talk about diamonds, we generally think of shining, shimmering gemstones. Colorless diamonds make up the majority, but diamonds don’t stop there. There are actually diamonds around the world that represent different colors and recognized as fancy color diamonds. Only a fraction of the world’s diamonds is worthy of being considered gem-quality-colored diamonds, which is one of the reasons why colored diamonds are sometimes demanding incredibly high prices. Another reason is that the diamond manufacturing process requires a lot of resources and manpower.

It is costly because it takes a long time.

So why go for colored diamonds? What are the advantages and disadvantages of colorless and colored diamonds?

Let’s take a closer look at each diamond to determine its appeal. One of the attractions of diamonds is their brilliance.
Another key feature is durability. Both colorless and colored diamonds have this property but in brilliance,
colorless diamonds and colored diamonds are not at the same level.

In fact, this factor is why colorless round diamonds are the most popular shape. A round brilliant cut diamond with many facets shines like no other gemstone. Additionally, colorless diamonds are abundant and generally affordable. Of course, there are different quality levels based on the 4Cs (color, clarity, cut and carat) and some diamonds can cost a fortune. Nevertheless, it is one of the selling points of colorless diamonds. Colorless diamonds are timeless and an easy choice for many brides as well as those looking for their next gemstone.

But no matter how beautiful a colorless diamond ring is, it ends up being a bland choice for many. There is no dispute about the old-fashioned beauty, but I would like to say something about the unique taste, the character and the texture that are not just beautiful. First and foremost, natural fancy-colored diamonds are rare and breathtaking and can only be found in the nature. It is the organic phenomenon of nature that makes the shade so special.

All diamonds are created deep underground over a million to hundreds of millions of years and are pushed up to the surface by volcanic eruptions. In this change, we create exquisite colors such as blue derived from the boron element and yellow caused by nitrogen. Color is central when talking about colored diamonds, but all four C’s are just as important as colorless diamonds.

Each diamond color varies in terms of rarity and price. While most fancy colored diamonds are more expensive than colorless diamonds, some are comparable in price to colorless stones. This is especially true for brown diamonds, but also for certain yellows. Price is a consideration when buying a colored diamond, but don’t forget the beautiful hues to match. Choosing a colored diamond that has the characteristics of a diamond and is full of individuality will not only attract the attention of many people but will also allow you to express a different sensibility from others.

One day your tastes and budget will be decided. Once you have decided what is most important, you will ultimately decide which diamond is right for you. You might choose a colorless diamond that fits your budget.
On the other hand, if you want something really special and are just a little over budget, choosing a fancy-colored diamond may be the right way to go.

Combine colorless and colored diamond features to make your special ring even more unique.
Whether the central stone is colorless or colored depends on your sensitivity. It may be one way to fit your budget this way.

Color is the most important characteristic for fancy color diamonds.

In fact, unlike colorless diamonds, where the 4Cs (color, clarity, cut, carat) represent the overall value, color attributes play the most important role in a colored diamond’s value, often outweighing other factors such as clarity.

Fancy violet diamond

It looks like a combination of a blue diamond and a purple diamond, but it is a color of its own with different shades and intensities. Most of the world’s violet diamonds come from the Argyle Mine in Kimberley, Western Australia.

Pure violet without sub colors rarely occurs in nature, and if it does occur, the diamond is found only in small sizes.

Despite this being extremely rare, it is not considered as rare as fancy red or fancy blue diamonds. Violet colored diamonds found in nature are usually less expensive but very beautiful with shades of gray and blue as sub colors.

When violet appears as a secondary color, it can be fancy violet tinged blue, fancy dark violet gray, etc., depending on how violet affects it.
They are very small and diamonds over 1 carat are very rare.

Fancy blue diamond

Blue-collar diamonds are rarely found with a pure, straight blue color. The most common sub colors found in blue diamonds are either gray-blue or green-blue.

Recently, South Africa has become one of the largest producers of fancy blue diamonds. Beautiful blue diamonds have been found in the Cullinan mines near Pretoria. The Argyle mine in Australia also produces some notable blue and violet colors, but often contains a grayish sub color.

Fancy blue diamonds are extremely rare and often considered the rarest of all fancy colors.

There are probably few people who do not like shades of blue. You can imagine many shades of blue, such as the color of the sky, the color of the sea, and so on. Dark blue, bright blue, sea blue, turquoise blue, light blue. Some of the most beautiful and breathtaking stones on earth come in various shades of blue. From the deep blue of sapphires to the striking hues of fancy blue diamonds, blue has a deep meaning. Blue is a cool color and also represents water. Blue is a bold, sincere, and calm color. They say a lot without saying much. Many people overseas have a strong image of being royal.

Of all colors, blue is called “royal” for a reason. There is something majestic and revered about this primary color. Wearers of gemstones of this color are said to feel the confidence it exudes.

The GIA (Gemological Institute of America) recently stated, “Of the millions of diamonds mined each year, only 0.001% are certified fancy colored, and only 0.001% achieve the top grades of Intense and Vivid.” Only a handful,” he wrote. Natural fancy color diamonds are already known to be among the most extreme rarities in the world today. Among colored diamonds, pink diamonds are the second rarest color ever discovered.
